Personal Statement, Part 5: The Journey Continues
Working on my MA in the ISD program at UMBC has been one of the high points in my life. Although my days as a student are ending, my learning journey is just beginning. I've learned so much the last three years, grown my network exponentially, and have grown so much professionally. But I'm leaving with more questions than I had when I started. And that, I think, is the mark of a good education. I'll miss that kid-with-new-crayons feeling at the beginning of each semester, but will never stop learning.
I want to
learn more about rapid design methodologies
be a regular blogger both personally and professionally
build my graphic design capabilities
take time to learn and incorporate additional web tools into my work life
be more proactive about curating what I'm learning
expand my PLN through twitter, LinkedIn and other social media
teach and mentor others so I can share what I've learned an increase the depth and breadth of my own understanding and skill
